Olarewaju stated, “Those in the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Humanities, the ‘freshers’ will pay N151,200 while returning students of the same faculties will pay N89,200.”
Prior to the hike, returning students in faculties paid N20,100, while those in the faculties of technology and science paid N28,100. Additionally, students at the Faculty of Pharmacy paid N31,100 every session.
According to Olanrewaju, new students at the faculties of technology and science will pay N163,200, while returning students must pay N101,200.
In the College of Health Sciences and Faculty of Pharmacy, new students must pay N190,200, while returning students must pay N128,200, he continued.
“Therefore, the management wishes the pupils great success in their academic endeavors. The above-mentioned adjustable costs only apply to one academic session, he continued.
At a colloquium, the college administration reportedly announced a N100,000 professional fee that students would be responsible for paying starting with the following session.
According to a statement released by the Students organization’s president, secretary-general, and public relations officer, Olayiwola Festus, Odewale Damilare, and public relations officer, Ogunperi Taofeek, the organization was having a “emergency meeting.”
“This evening, it was brought to the leadership of the Union’s attention that the University’s College of Health Sciences had increased its costs by N100,000 for “medical professional expenses.”
The statement read, “The Central Executive Council is holding an emergency meeting right away in order to properly address this issue and tackle the increment, and for the benefit of students.”
