Pep Guardiola’s mother Dolors Sala Carrio has lost the battle to coronavirus as she died after falling ill to the virus.
Dolors Sala Carrio 82, died in her hometown of Manresa in Catalonia and the news was confirmed by Manchester City where Guardiola currently managed.
“The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrio in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting coronavirus,” the club wrote on Twitter.”Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”
he former Barcelona manager recently donated one million euros to the Angel Soler Daniel foundation in Barcelona for the purchase and supply of medical equipment.
