Amusa Kazeem, Oke Oladipupo, and Johnson Oluwole were reportedly detained by the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday for allegedly stealing the royal crown and other items from the late Oba Olugbenga Shodiya, the Olu of Ogunmakin, who passed away approximately two months ago.
The late royal father’s home was allegedly broken into on October 12 at around two in the morning by the trio of Kazeem, Oladipupo, and Oluwole in order to steal the crown and the staff of office, according to a statement made by the police public
relations officer for the state command, SP Omolola Odutola.
Abiodun Alamutu, the commissioner of police, who is alleged to have been briefed on this despicable episode, has still denounced the sacrilegious act and urged members of the public to come forward with information that would help locate the staff of office.
