Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has spoken out, insisting he is innocent of recent allegations against him.
The singer claimed he did not engage in any fight or assault anyone.
His statement comes after reports surfaced on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), alleging that Portable and his associates attacked Ogun State officials on a special mission at his bar.
Following the incident, it was reported that the singer was arrested, and his bar was shut down, with the Ogun State government condemning the act.
Amid the controversy, Portable released a video refuting the claims. He maintained that he did not fight anyone and was being falsely accused.
“It’s a youth matter, I’m a small boy. I didn’t fight anybody. I might be troublesome, but this time, I was asleep when they came to my house and bar, asking everyone to leave.”
“They went to an academy where I help young people—not just musicians but also tailors, carpenters, and bricklayers.”
“The elders, the owners of the earth, have lied against us. My glory will defeat my enemies. That house is where I buried my mother when I was 13.”
“They came and destroyed my bar, took my properties, injured my apprentices, and beat my customers before sending them home.”
“My fans, I swear to God, I didn’t fight anyone. Let them show proof that I did.”
As his video circulated online, concerned individuals flooded the comment section with their reactions.

“I didn’t fight anybody. They’re just trying to set me up. I am from a poor family yet i’ve helped a lot of people. Artistes, bricklayers, tailors and many other people live with me”
