Salatiel is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on November 26, 1987, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Salatiel, whose real name is Salathiel Livenja Bessong, is best known for his fusion of African rhythms with contemporary pop music, creating a unique sound that has garnered him a massive following in Cameroon and beyond.
Salatiel began his music career as a member of the popular Cameroonian music group X-Maleya, which he co-founded with his childhood friends. In 2012, he released his debut solo single “Fap Kolo,” which quickly became a hit and helped establish him as a solo artist.
