Ali Ndume, a senator from Borno South, has criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio for authorizing the approval of some executive measures without consulting other senators.
Ndume criticized the Senate President for adopting several legislation without a formal reading or input from members in a video from Thursday’s session.
Ogoshi Onawo, a senator from Nasarawa State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, also denounces Akpabio’s attempt to rush through several laws.
Akpabio responded to Onawo’s remark by saying, “History will judge me right if the measures we pass are good for the country. We wouldn’t likely come together to pass a bill that is detrimental to Nigerians’ interests, in my opinion. Your point of order has so been noticed.
