The Serie A returned today following a forced break due to the Covid-19 pandemic and it was a dramatic 1-1 draw between Torino and Parma.
Former Marseille defender Nicolas
Nkoulou scored with a powerful header from a corner kick and immediately dedicated George Floyd.
The 30-year-old celebrated his goal by taking the knee, a gesture that supports the Black Lives Matter movement.
Speaking after the match, Nkoulou told Sky Sport Italia, he said: “When I scored, I immediately thought of my brother, George Floyd.”

Torino had the opportunity of winning the match but Italian international Belotti missed a first half penalty and the Cameroonian opined that they could’ve won the game.
“We started the match well and managed to score, then conceded the equaliser. It’s a pity, as it’s a game we could’ve won, but remains an important point,” Nkoulou said.
