The youngest son of the late Afro-beat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Seun Kuti, has disclosed that throughout the years, the media has purposefully distorted his personality in the same way that his late father’s image was distorted.
The contentious vocalist revealed this information, among other things, in a conversation with Chude Jideonwo on his podcast, #WithChude.
In contrast to the popular belief that he began smoking at a young age, the frontman of the musical group Egypt 80 claims that he did not begin smoking until he was 21 years old.
He emphasized that throughout his father’s lifetime, the media also negatively portrayed him, leading to the erroneous belief among the public that his father constantly performed in his underwear on stage.
