Babagana Umara Zulum, the governor of Borno State and chairman of the North-East Governors Forum, pushed for a collaboration that may result in an autonomous power plant and railroad network for the whole northeast.

The governor also urged his regional colleagues to prioritize the region’s problems with youth unemployment and poverty.

The governor gave the Nigerian military praise for their efforts in reducing the security threat in the region’s North-East, which had a period of relative calm.

“Let me take this opportunity to thank our courageous military for their continued valiant efforts in the face of the insurgency. Their commitment to victory is quite evident. They have undoubtedly thought through and taken into account a variety of measures in the struggle against terrorism, according to Zulum.

At the meeting’s beginning, traditional leaders led by the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Umar Garbai Elkanemi, senators, members of the House of Representatives, state legislators, secretaries to the state governments from the northeast States, and senior government officials from the six northeastern States were present.
