Kogi Central senatorial district residents shut down Okene for a rally in support of Usman Ododo, the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) nominee for governor on Saturday. The rally was held in advance of the November 11 election.
Huge numbers of people gathered at Okene’s Agassa Junction to show support for the APC and its candidate.
Speakers at the event, which was dubbed the most attended in the state’s history, emphasized that the large attendance was a sign of the APC’s impending triumph.
The Minister of Steel Development and Director General of the Kogi State APC Governorship Campaign Council, Shaibu Audu, addressed the enthusiastic supporters, who were primarily Ebira natives, stating that the number of people present today was unprecedented in Kogi State’s political history.
The governor’s chief of staff, Mohammed Asuku, stated in his remarks that the large number of witnesses from Kogi Central attested to Governor Bello’s outstanding accomplishments.
