The Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution urging the executive branch of government to take action to promote technical education in the region because it can help lower crime rates.
The lawmakers agreed in a motion put forth by Chief Ejike Okechukwu, the representative for Anaocha Constituency II, that technical knowledge is what drives the world and that with the skills acquired through
technical education, Nigerian youths would be adequately equipped to fend for themselves rather than taking part in criminal activity.
