Dr. Jamila Bio, Balarebe Abbas, and Olawale Olawande are the three ministerial nominees whose names have been submitted to the Senate, according to a statement.
Part of the announcement said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has requested the Senate confirm the new list following the appointment of three additional ministerial nominees.”
In a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday, President Tinubu made the request.

In the letter, which was read aloud by Akpabio during the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly’s plenary session, Tinubu also requested the prompt approval and confirmation of the nominees.
On August 21, 2023, President Tinubu assembled his cabinet after swearing in 45 Ministers at the State House in Abuja.
The Senate examined 48 nominations in total.
After the vetting process, the Senate voted to affirm 45 of the nominees, leaving out three.
Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, Stella Okotete (Delta), and Abubakar Sani Danladi (Taraba), a director at the Nigeria Export-Import (NEXIM) Bank, were the three nominees.
