On Sunday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will travel from Abuja to New York to attend the UN General Assembly.
This was disclosed, according to sources, by Ajuri Ngelale, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity, who briefed State House reporters on Friday.
According to Ngelale, the President would take advantage of the occasion to meet privately with other heads of state and significant international business stakeholders.
Ngelale added that the president will meet with Exxon Mobil Oil and Gas Company’s global CEO.
He said the federal government views this as a significant chance to once again outline in detail what Nigeria has to offer with regard to the execution of the Petroleum Industry Act and the fiscal and tax advantages that the current administration is putting forward.
He claimed that the diplomatic gathering will encourage more investment in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the area of gas.
