Real Madrid ace, Luka Modric has reportedly told FIFA that he made the first contact with Inter Milan over a potential move this summer.
Inter were heavily linked with the midfielder, who has just one year remaining on his Los Blancos’ contract.
Madrid had earlier reported the Italian giants to FIFA due to an alleged illegal approach for Modric.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Modric has now revealed that he was the one who made the initial contact.
The report also claimed that the 32-year-old’s intervention means that FIFA are likely to drop any investigation into allegations that Inter violated Article 18 of transfer regulations.
