Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor has stated clearly that Super Eagles’ right full-back Shehu Abdulahi should be ready to accept a pay cut if he must return to the club.

Fanatik had reported that Shehu who is now a free agent is planning to stage a fresh come back to the side that once paraded Troost Ekong after talks of an impending move elsewhere went up in flames. But the club has offered a condition that would see his annual salary reduced to 500,000 euros. Both parties are still at loggerhead as discussion stretched for a week over what the players’ should earn should the former Anorthosis defender pen a new deal. But after much consultation, Bursaspor management then conveyed to the former Uniao Madeira star that it cannot meet up with his demands.

The 27-year-old defender is yet to make up his mind whether to accept or reject the offer. He declared in one of his tweets on Friday that he is ready to return to active football after a long holiday. “The holiday is over, I had a great time with my families and friends. It’s time to get back to work, looking forward to the new season. I appreciate your support and love, I’m honoured,” he said
