The diminutive midfielder played every minutes under former coach, Julen Lopetegui, before the former Spanish national team handler was relieved of his job following strings of unpleasant results.
He was rumoured to have had a frosty relationship with their new coach and has been overlooked as a result of that. However, such thought were put to bed today as he went on to score two sweet goals during the match.
The coach who could not hide his pleasure at seeing the two wonderful strike then revealed while fielding questions from journalists at the end of the match that he is satisfied with the Spanish International’s display.

“I asked Isco to be decisive & he was. I am satisfied”
