Nyesome Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has appointed a nine-person commission to investigate the death of Greatness Tolulope Olorunfemi, 33, who passed away in Abuja after being attacked in a “one chance” car.
Olorunfemi was a victim of armed robbers known as “one chance” in Abuja, who target unsuspecting passengers while they are riding in a car.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), and others are on the panel investigating her death.
The Minister sent his sympathies to the deceased’s family and friends while also pledging to ensure that the investigation was carried out with the utmost professionalism, transparency, and integrity.
According to information acquired by The Nation, the victim was rushed to the Maitama District Hospital in Abuja following the event and there her death was verified.
Olorunfemi held these positions at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Abuja Chapter, up until her death. Additionally, she belonged to the network of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
