Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is keen on signing 19-year-old defender to replace ageing Sergio Ramos at the heart of the defence, according to tp report.
Real Madrid captain Ramos would turn 35 next March and Zidane is keen on replacing the defender with AS Monaco Benoit Badiashile as a possible long-term defensive reinforcement.
The reports in AS claims Real Madrid would be interested in strengthening the heart of dense in the summer, It’s added though that he could be valued between €35m and €40m, and so it remains to be seen if that’s enough to put Real Madrid off and force them to look elsewhere, with Dayot Upamecano, Gabriel Magalhaes and Mohammed Salisu all specifically noted as other targets on their transfer radar.
Zidane wants Badiashile to follow the similar path to compatriot Raphael Varane by moving to the Bernabeu, while the fact that he’s left-footed would also bring a much-needed balance to the heart of the Real Madrid backline.
At the moment Zidane has Nacho Fernandez and EderMilitao as the backup options to Varane and Ramos.
